How much does a new fence cost?

It depends on the material, the height, the length and what has to happen before the fence goes in — removing an old fence, retaining a level difference or working around limited access all change the number. We measure on site and give an itemised price rather than a rate per metre that moves once we arrive.

Do I need council approval for a fence?

Most standard boundary fencing does not need approval, but front fences above a certain height, fences in heritage or character areas, and anything that forms part of a pool barrier can all be controlled by your local council. We will tell you at the quote if your job is one of them.

Who pays for a fence on a shared boundary?

In Western Australia the Dividing Fences Act generally treats a sufficient dividing fence as a shared cost between neighbours, but the detail depends on what is there now and what each side wants. We are happy to provide a written quote you can show your neighbour.

How long does an installation take?

A straightforward residential boundary is usually one to three days on site once materials are ready. Retaining, gate automation or difficult access add to that. We confirm a realistic timeline in writing after the site measure.
